Dancemeditation is a unique, integrated movement-meditative practice for healing & self-discovery. It approaches dance as a meditation and meditation as a dance. Both are an entwined opportunity to explore the relationships between self-&-other, self-&-cosmos, self-with-Self and self-to-the Divine Eternal. By encouraging receptivity, creativity and present-ness, Dancemeditation cultivates our inherent ability to heal and self-regulate.
Dancemeditation utilizes a wide variety of movement techniques within a primarily non-verbal study environment to drop participants out of an over-active, distracted mind into intuitive embodiment.
Sensual Alchemy (Spiritual Bellydance)
Bellydance is practiced and performed with many intentions. Sensual Alchemy is an opportunity to explore this versatile, ancient, evolving, nature-connected dance as meditation and self-restoration. Experience the beauty and mysticism inherent in dance traditions originating in the Middle East by pursuing somatic root motions, subtle isolations and the ruby spine technique.
This dance practice encompasses a combination of Middle Eastern dance vocabulary and Sufi-healing contemplative hand & arm dances, sensuous & exciting vibration and liquid undulation.
